Cater-Bake’s Year in Review: 2020

It’s fair to say it’s been a turbulent year for all businesses in the hospitality industry, no one expected a pandemic to hit, and so, no one quite knew how to react to such an occurrence.

Like many others in the sector, we have had to adapt quickly to the Government’s announcements and because of this we have been able to accommodate our clients with a range of appliances and supplies to help them operate during the covid climate.

In March, restaurants across the UK started to witness a huge demand in takeaway and collection services.

In order to support our clients with their influx of takeaway orders, we introduced a new range of high-quality, thermal food delivery bags, designed to keep food piping hot, maintaining temperatures of 85°c on the move with the use of ISO Thermo technology.

Not only that, but at the start of the pandemic, one of our leading brands Fimar released a Health Division range consisting of PPE, sanitiser and hygiene supplies, all of which supported businesses who were looking to reopen after lockdown. We then were able to offer this range to our network to help them open safely.

One of our main objectives for the year was to enhance our market coverage even further, a target supported in November when Cater-Bake joined dealer membership ENSE. This meant all of our market-leading pizza and baking equipment was available to the distributor members using the ENSE platform.

Despite the difficult circumstances, Cater-Bake has had a remarkable year, but more than anything we cannot wait to see what next year has in store and we hope it is plain sailing for the hospitality industry in 2021.

We would like to say a big thank you to all who have supported us this past year and we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Over the festive period, Cater-Bake will be closing on Thursday 24th December and reopening on Monday 4th January. For any enquiries before that time, please contact
